| Nenad Gajic Rookie of the Month Colorado Mammoth Rookie transition player Nenad Gajic earned Rookie of the Month honors for February. Playing all four games for the Mammoth during the month, Gajic scored four goals and added eight assists for 12 points. He scored one short handed goal, one game winning goal and collected 29 loose balls while helping the Mammoth to a perfect 4-0 record in February. Full story here. |
| Chris Gill Named NLL Offensive Player of the Week Edmonton Rush forward Chris Gill earned Offensive Player of the Week honors after scoring eight points in a 13-12 victory over the Philadelphia Wings at Rexall Place in Edmonton. | Athan Iannucci Nominated for BC Sport Award WLA all-star athlete Athan Iannucci rounds out the lacrosse nominations and has been nominated for the Harry Jerome Comeback Award. Week Athan Iannucci, Hofstra Jr., Att., Coquitlam, B.C./Gleneagle Iannucci had a spectacular week offensively, tallying 14 points on 10 goals and four assists in a pair of Hofstra victories. The junior scored a career-high six goals in a 19-8 triumph over CAA foe Sacred Heart and then followed it up with a career-high eight points on four goals and four assists in a 13-4 road victory at Villanova in a battle of unbeaten league teams. Iannucci leads the CAA with 31 goals and 40 points on the year. |
| Mars Hill Edges Wingate 17-12 in DSC Lacrosse The Mars Hill College lacrosse team defeated Wingate University 17-12 Saturday night in Meares Stadium to clinch at least a share of the Deep South Conference regular season championship.
