Balanced scoring was the name of the game last night in the 1st game of the best of seven WLA semi final with the Salmonbellies winning 12-7 over the visiting Timberemen. Bellies held period leads of 5-2, 10-3  and 12-5 while getting 2 or more points from 10 players and 15 of the 18 runners dressed showed up on the score sheet. They were lead by WLA scoring champion Athan Iannucci with (2G, 2A), Chris Gill (3G) and Kyle Ross (1G,1A), Bellies shooteres peppered Nanaimo with 59 shots while Matt Disher stopped 21 of 26 shots thrown his way.

Bellies travel to Nanaimo today for game 2  before returning to QPA for Game 3 Wed August 8th at 7:45pm
