New Westminster's hope of a return to the Mann Cup for the first time since 1995 were dashed by an upstart Coquitlam Adanac team. The Adanac's swept a depleted Bellies squad 4-0 in the WLA finals and will host this years Mann Cup starting in Coquitlam on Sept 7th. The Bellies minus star player Craig Conn (knee injury), Shayne Bennet (work commitments) and star goaltender  Matt Disher (Hamstring) for most of the playoffs, could not sustain any ongoing pressure throughout the series. The Salmonbellies would like to thank their fans, supporters, volunteers and the management and workers at Queens Park Arena for a great season of lacrosse and look forward to seeing you out for the 2008 WLA season.
