New Westminster Sr Salmonbellies took a huge step in securing a place in the 2008 Mann Cup Championship with a convincing 12-5 victory over the visiting Coquitlam Adanacs, to take a stranglehold 3-0 lead in their WLA Best of Seven Finals. The Bellies held 3-2, 11-3, and 12-5 leads in front of 1500 Salmonbellie faithful. After being Piped onto the floor by SFU Jr Piper Daryl Techy the Bellies came out flying with 3 goals in 8 minutes and then exploded for 8 goals in the 2nd stanza. Leading the way was former Caribou Charger Ilija Gajic ‘s 4 points on (2g,2a) and 3 point efforts By Jamie Floris (2g,1a) and Former East Whalley Ring Road Block Watch co-chairperson Cliff Smith with (1g,2a)

Tyler Richards, WLA Rookie of the year and WLA Goaltender of the year, stopped 32 of 37 shots thrown his way.

Bellies look to wrap up the series Monday Night, and face  the winner of the Brampton / Peterborough series, which currently sits at 3-2 Peterborough
