Despite missing 5 regular players for the game last night in the Hub City, the Salmonbellies prevailed in a chippy affair 9-8 over the Hometown Nanaimo Timbermen. Leading the way with 5 point nights were cagey Veteran Jamie Floris with (2g,3a) and Rookie sensation Jordan Mc Bride (3g,2a), Ilija Gajic rounded out the scoring with 4points (1g,3a), and Rookie Tender Tyler Richards stopped 39 of 47 shots thrown his way. The Bellies and Timbermen showed no love loss between the two as they amassed penalty minutes totaling 126 minutes during the game. The Bellies were supported on the road by more than 50 Salmonbellies supporters who made the trip across the pond, to see the Bellies go to 8-0 on the season.
