Backed by the outstanding Goaltending of Ron Schibild the New Westminster Salmonbellies marched into Burnaby Lakers Copeland Arena and came away with 2 points. Schibild stopped 36 of 43  Laker shots while the Bellies league leading stingy defence bent but did not break tonite. In front of 124 Laker Supporters the Bellies were lead by a trio of 4 point getters in  Ilija Gajic (1g,3a),Jamie Floris (4a) and league leader in points rookie sensation  Jordan Mc Bride with (3g,1a), while seasoned veteran Daren McEwen chipped in with 3 points on (1g.2a). Bellies next opponent is cross town rival Coquitlam Adanacs Saturday June 28th at the Palace on Poirer St, in Coquitlam.

1st place Bellies next home game is Thursday July 3rd vs the visiting Langley Thunder, plenty of tickets still available, at QPA, Park Georgia Reality on 6th Street, and Prime Time Sports in Westminster Mall.
