The Sr Salmonbellies announced today the acquisition of three Major Sponsors/Partners for their upcoming 120th Season of Lacrosse at Historic Queens Park Arena starting this May 2009. Dayton Boot Co., Warrior Lacrosse Canada and The City of New Westminster- 150th Anniversary.
Dayton approached us about 3-4 months ago about coming on board and assisting us both financially and in the promotional area. Dayton ( www.daytonboots.com ) have been making Quality leather Boots in Vancouver since 1946, and are world renown for their quality, durability and continued High Standard of High Quality. To the Salmonbellies it was a natural fit to align ourselves with such a company with such steeped history in Quality.
With Warrior Lacrosse( www.warriorlacrosse.com ) Founded in 1992, Warrior Lacrosse headquartered in Warren, Michigan, is recognized as one of the sporting goods industry's premier manufacturers of innovative, high performance, cutting-edge equipment, footwear and apparel for lacrosse athletes of all ages and abilities. When we sat down with representative of Warrior it was clear they wanted to make inroads into the Canadian Box Lacrosse market , and there is no better way than to align them selves with Canada's Longest established Lacrosse team the Salmonbellies.
City of New Westminster -150th Anniversary ( www.newwest150.ca ) committee approached us about our cities 150th Anniversary , and obviously with our club celebrating our 120th Season this year, it was a natural fit. The Salmonbellies were established in 1889 and as far as we can tell is the oldest established (continual) Lacrosse Club in North America. Their were Lacrosse Clubs that have established before 1889 , but have not survived 120 years, like the Bellies, so we also see this as a great fit. We will be working with the Cities Committee on some exciting initiatives over the next 3-4 months to promote our City and our Salmonbellies.
This years Salmonbellies will be wearing Dayton Boots, Warrior Lacrosse and the Cities 150th Anniversary Jersey patches , 4 Strong Brands Dayton, Warrior, City of New Westminster and the Salmonbellies" aligned together for 2009.
