Bellies open the season 2-0 and sit atop the WLA standings with the Victoria Shamrocks who have identical records.
Last night a couple of the Bellies rookies lead the Sr Bellies to a 9-6 victory over the Burnaby Lakers. Rookie Jordan McBride lead all scorers with a 5 point night (1g4a) and Goaltender Tyler Richards stopped 46 of 52 shots to seal the win. Other scorers of note were Cory Melville 4pts (4a) and Darren McEwen and Jamie Floris chipped in with 2 Goals each. Wade Dewolff, Ian Hawksbee and Captain Nenad Gajic lead the defense who held the Lakers to 6 goals on 52 shots, mainly from the perimeter.
