Goaltender Matt Roik held Coquitlam to only 3 goals on Thursday night when the
Salmonbellies hosted the Adanacs for each team’s season opener at Queens Park
Arena in New West. Roik faced 38 shots throughout the night, and rendered Coquitlam
scoreless for the final 37 minutes of the game.

In front of 1700 fans, Cliff Smith and Jordan McBride both had a pair of goals for the
Salmonbellies, while Kevin Lunnie, Dave Morgan, Tyler Crompton, Peter Morgan,
Pete McFetridge and Bubba Westwood each contributed a score to the 10-3 win.
The team had 45 shots throughout the sixty minutes.

The WLA three stars were Cliff Smith, Jordan McBride and Jamie Floris.

The Bellies’ next match up is against the Burrards on Sunday, May 24 at 6:45pm in Maple Ridge.
