Bellies Add Wiedemann for Mann Cup run.

The Bellies acquired former WLA Defensive Player of the Year Adam Wiedemann over the weekend, sending newcomer Tysen Nielsen to the Nanaimo Timbermen in a one-year swap.  Both players' rights will revert to their original teams after the 2025 Mann Cup.

Wiedemann is a star for the NLL Georgia Swarm and was the core of the Nanaimo defense in 2022 and 2023 when he was last active in the WLA.  

Regarded as one lacrosse’s very best both in front of the goalie and in transition, he will be a major addition in the Bellies’ ambitions to win Mann Cup #25. In 2022, Wiedemann shared the WLA's DPOY award with Bellies captain Drew Belgrave, but now the two will both be heading out the same back gate.
